Yes, BG 4×4 Fest is a free and family-friendly event on Saturday, October 5 at the Wood County Fairgrounds. Visit the vendor midways, kiddie areas, food trucks and watch the 4x4s line up to pull a sled down our world-famous National Tractor Pulling Championship track at the Wood County Fairgrounds. You can also check out all the great 4x4s displayed at our Park & Shine. However, you might want to participate in one of our fun events (BG 4×4 Sled Pull, BG 4×4 Fest Convoy, or BG 4×4 Fest Park & Shine). Find those options here.

The BG 4×4 Fest Convoy is the first event that occurs on Saturday, Oct. 5. It is a convoy of 4x4s that will stage at 9 a.m. in the Walmart parking lot in Bowling Green and travel Main Street to Poe Road to the Wood County Fairgrounds, where these vehicles will then be parked around the gravel track for display. Register for the BG 4×4 Fest Convoy.

  • Arrive at Wood County Fairgrounds at about 9:45 a.m.

The BG 4×4 Fest Sled Pull is our premier event where 4×4 owners can register for a chance to pull a sled on the world-famous National Tractor Pulling Championships sled pull track at the Wood County Fairgrounds. Sled pullers will line up 10 minutes before their scheduled pull time. There will be a pull every 2.5 minutes. Volunteers from the Northwest Ohio Tractor Pullers Association (NWOTPA) will supervise this event.

You will need a 4×4 (Jeeps, Pickups, Broncos, 4Runners, etc.) to test your skill and the power of your vehicle to pull a weighted sled down our track at the Wood County Fairgrounds. Just like the National Tractor Pulls, the sled pulls will be divided by weight class and all vehicles must have a 3”x 3-¾” hitch. You must register your 4×4 in advance of Oct. 5. This is a family-friendly event. There are no prizes or awards for the longest pulls at this time. Sled pullers will line up 10 minutes before their scheduled pull time. There will be a pull every 2.5 minutes. Volunteers from the Northwest Ohio Tractor Pullers Association (NWOTPA) will supervise this event..

The BG 4×4 Fest Park & Shine is an event that occurs on Saturday, Oct. 5. By purchasing a BG 4×4 Fest Park & Shine event ticket, 4×4 owners can park on the front grass at the Wood County Fairgrounds to show off their vehicles starting between 9 and 9:30 a.m. Volunteers will help line up the Park & Shine 4x4s.

Go to www.ticketsignup.io/TicketEvent/BG4Fest to see all the position size options for the Oct. 5 event at the Wood County Fairgrounds. Register for a vendor position. Setup will be before 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 and your vendor position can be open until 5 p.m. Vendor positions will be inside the Pratt Pavilion and/or outside the Pavilion in the Wood County Fairgrounds.

You bet! We’ll have a kiddie area at the Wood County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Bounce house, face painting and more. We’ll also have a Kiddie Sled Pull for when the kids take a break from watching adults on the Sled Pull track.

BG 4×4 Fest was created from a partnership between Thayer Family Dealers, Wood County Fairgrounds, VisitBG, and the National Tractor Pulling Championships. BG 4×4 Fest gives back to our community in Wood County and supports the up-and-coming talents in Agriculture and the Trades.
